. . . I was a Second-Generation Teacher . . .

. . . but still couldn’t read what I was seeing in my clients’ bodies

The Pilates Teacher’s Secret Struggle

You know the repertoire inside out. You teach with precision, presence, and passion.
You’re the go-to expert in your studio..
Yet—do you still feel like a fraud when a client walks in with pain and you don’t know what to do? Do you ask yourself: What am I seeing? What do they need? Can I even help?

The Gap in Our Education—And Why It Matters

Unfortunately, most of us were never taught how the body actually works.
We learned the method, the sequence, the cues—but not how to read a body, assess it, or respond with the right exercise.
That’s not our fault.
But it’s the missing piece.

My “I’m done” Crisis

Five years ago, I realized I had to question everything I had learned in my Pilates education to re-learn movement from scratch and to figure out how the body actually worked.
I didn’t want to do this mountain work!
But, the pain and shame of feeling like a fraud were causing me more suffering than any amount of reading, research, webinars or coursework I’d have to do to overcome them.
I had no choice – and I did it.
Turns out, I loved learning this stuff—what I thought would deplete me actually became my daily charge.

Confidence Comes from True Knowledge

There’s nothing like the confidence from knowing how to identify what you’re seeing in a client’s  movements. Nothing like the satisfaction of choosing the right next step—and watching your clients move out of pain and into strength, agility, and resilience. And there’s no greater freedom than knowing the science behind the method you love—and having the tools to make it work.

Your Story Starts Here

That’s my story—and maybe in some ways, it’s yours too. Maybe you’ve had these doubts. Maybe you’ve sensed there’s more to know—but felt overwhelmed thinking where to begin.
Well—you’re in the right spot! This is your starting point.
Not with more choreography or “tips & tricks.” But with your own body and your own brain.

The Next Step

Join me in a FREE TRAINING WEBINAR to learn how the pelvic floor, breath, and assessment skills gave me the clarity I was missing—and how they can change the way you teach, feel and do Pilates, too.

June 21, 22 & 28 (Three dates but not 3 different webinars!)

Or come to Rome!
Transform Your Teaching in the Eternal City
This August, in a two-day intensive, you’ll learn the skills to see, assess, and teach movement based on an understanding of how the body works—through the lens of the pelvic floor.
With space extremely limited to only 6 participants, this intimate workshop ensures you’ll get the personalized attention you need to develop the assessment skills to turn uncertainty into expertise.

You’ll learn:

  • Why the pelvic floor is the CEO of the body and how it impacts all movement in Pilates – and in life
  • How to read compensation strategies that reveal themselves in the repertoire—hip hiking, pelvic rotation, and rib flaring—and what to do to address them
  • Why a client’s hip clicks, what causes shoulder restrictions, and the specific exercises to address what you see
  • The breathing technique that creates authentic, lasting core stability and forms the foundation of the entire method
  • Why traditional cues like “scoop the belly” and “wrap the thighs” are limiting your clients’ progress
  • How to experience these concepts in your own body first—giving  you the confidence and knowhow to then teach them to your clients

Excited to join? Reply to this email and I’ll send you the details.
